Q: WHO ARE THE RED CARPET ACADEMY?
A: We are the UK’s only TV Presenter and Public Speaking Training “academy” run by actively current, mainstream and celebrity presenters.

Q: IS THE RED CARPET ACADEMY A REPUTABLE TRAINING COURSE?

A: The Red Carpet Academy is a unique and highly skilled training force for aspiring and existing TV Presenters wishing to learn techniques first hand from well-established TV Presenters. We offer special services for those who wish to learn The Art of Public Speaking, whether at corporate level, small businesses or professional individuals. We also welcome those who may already be working as a TV Presenter or Public Speaker but wish to brush up or learn new skills.

Q: HOW DOES THE RED CARPET ACADEMY COMPARE TO SIMILAR COURSES / COMPANIES?

A: If you wish to learn how to present what better way to achieve that then by learning from highly accomplished Presenters! Put quite simply, there is no other company like us who can offer the expertise from exactly where you want to be! However please be aware that we are not agents or TV producers and can only teach from our own skillset and experience; we cannot offer or guarantee you any future TV or public speaking work.

Q: HOW OLD MUST I BE TO BOOK TRAINING WITH THE RED CARPET ACADEMY?

A: Currently you must be 18 years and over to take part in any of our training days. We will accept 16 and 17 years with a chaperone at the discretion of The Red Carpet Academy.

Q: DURING MY TRAINING WILL YOU OFFER ME ADVICE ON HOW TO BECOME A TV PRESENTER?

A: Yes, there will be time dedicated during your training solely with the purpose of offering advice wherever possible and we also include a Q & A session at the end of your training should you have any further questions.

Q: DO YOU OFFER 1-2-1 CAREER ADVICE?

A: As a trainees of our Bootcamp, Public Speaking or Masterclasses you are most welcome to seek further advice from your facilitator on the day. We also offer private 1-2-1 career advice on all of our Two Day Masterclasses.

Q: CAN YOU OFFER ME A JOB IN TV AFTER I’VE COMPLETED MY TRAINING?

A: Unfortunately we are unable to offer TV work to individuals seeking a career in TV Presenting, however during your training we will offer secrets and tips on how to get started and ideas of where to seek work ongoing.

Q: IF I BOOK A TRAINING DAY WITH YOU CAN YOU GUARANTEE ME WORK AS A TV PRESENTER?

A: We do not make claims that you can earn loads of money from becoming a TV Presenter, although it’s a bonus when you do! Nor do we say you will be on TV immediately after your training is complete. Indeed our advice is always realistic but achievable for those prepared to work hard in achieving their goals we believe everything is possible for those who work tenaciously at it.

Q: CAN YOU TEACH ME SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES ON HOW I MAY BECOME A TV PRESENTER OR GAIN FURTHER CONFIDENCE IN PUBLIC SPEAKING OR MY SALES TECHNIQUE?

A: Yes, that what we are here for! We are all highly polished TV Presenters, accomplished Sales people and noted Public Speakers with many years of experience under our belts. We are willing to share our industry secrets, tips and tricks of the trade for the very first time! This is what makes The Red Carpet Academy truly unique.

Q: I’D LIKE TO BOOK A PLACE ON ONE OF YOUR TRAINING DAYS. DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE I CAN JOIN?

A: Put quite simply, No! Anyone can join any of our TV presenter training programmes or The Art of Public Speaking training. As long as your 18 and over and willing to learn, you are most welcome.

Q: ARE YOU AN AGENCY?

A: No, we do not represent individual talent or take any commissions from any work you do, we offer training and services that can help to kick-start a career in TV Presenting, sales and public speaking.

Q: I WANT TO BECOME FAMOUS, CAN YOU HELP ME?                          

A: There is no real short cut to being famous and to be honest if that’s all you want then you are not likely to be taken seriously within the industry. If you have real talent, gaining validation from your peers is pretty awesome rather than trying to get 15 minutes if fame.

Q: I DON’T HAVE A MAJOR INTEREST IN TV PRESENTING BUT I’S A MAJOR FAN AND WOULD LIKE TO BOOK A TRAINING DAY TO HANG OUT WITH YOU. IS THIS OKAY?

A: Firstly we would strongly encourage you not to waste your money. Our training is only suitable for serious individuals who wish to learn TV Presenting or Public Speaking skills from experts in the field. However please email us to request a signed autograph should you like.

Q: HOW CAN I GET AN AUTOGRAPH?

A: Should you wish to get a signed autograph of any of the training team, please email us with your name and address and we will get one sent to you. Email: hello@becomeatvpresenter.com 

BOOKINGS

Q: HOW DO I BOOK A TRAINING DAY WITH THE RED CARPET ACADEMY?

A: Go to our “Book Now” page and follow the easy steps to confirm your chosen date and training type.

Q: IS IT SAFE TO BOOK ONLINE?

A: Booking our training days are safe and secure. We offer payment options via Paypal and Eventbrite to ensure safe transactions and for your protection.

Q: WILL MY PERSONAL DETAILS BE SAFE?

A: All conversations and communications are completely confidential and we will never sell or pass on your details to any third party either.

Q: I DON’T WANT TO BE CAUGHT OFF-GUARD. ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN EXTRAS?

A: Definitely not! What you see is what you get with all of our training workshops. In fact we believe in giving YOU extras such as complimentary lunch and refreshments, free head shots, showreel editing, hair and make-up and so much more.

Q: CAN I CHANGE THE DATE OF MY TRAINING ONCE ITS BEEN BOOKED?

A:We understand that sometimes you may need to change the date you have booked with us, for personal reasons. It is possible to amend the date of your workshop, however; please note that an admin fee of £10.00 will be due at the time of rebooking, via Paypal. In these circumstances, please contact us first to advise of the amendment, tell us which available date you wish to move to and we will send an invoice for the admin fee to be completed via Paypal.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Q: HOW DO I CANCEL?

A: Should you wish to cancel your training before the event please write to us via email right away and we will proceed with the cancellation process. Please refer to our cancellation policy terms below. hello@becomeatvpresenter.com

Q: WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

A:Cancellations within 31 days of the course date will result in a 25% loss of any monies paid.

Cancellations within 14 days of the course date will result in a 50% loss of any monies paid.

Cancellations within 7 days of the course start date will result in 100% loss of any monies paid.

 

TRAINING

Q: I’M CONSIDERING BOOKING TRAINING WITH THE RED CAREPT ACADEMY… WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAY?

A: Depending on which training day/s you decide you can be sure it will be a jam-packed day, full of technical and practical workshops, and we will also so our best to cater to your USP and/or help you find one!

Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ONE DAY TASTER, TWO DAY BOOTCAMP AND MASTERCLASSES?

A: Taster days are a way of getting your feet wet by learning some basic techniques and practical skills. Once you’ve completed this you may advance onto our Two Day Bootcamp which offers real insight into what it takes to become a TV presenter and gives you an overview of all the varying disciplines. If that’s not enough you can then progress to our Two Day Masterclass which is more in-depth training. It allows you the time to learn the various technical and practical skills required to become a TV Presenter, and culminates in presenting your very own show at the end of day two, which will be most suited to your genre of presenting expertise going forward.

Q: WHAT IS “THE ART OF PUBLIC SPEAKING” TRAINING?

A: This is exactly what it says on the tin. We will teach you how to master the art of public speaking by using a variety of techniques. This will include how to cope with nerves; voice projection; and engaging an audience for maximum effect. This is particularly open to those who don’t necessarily wish to become TV Presenters, but who’s job role or career dictates they make sales pitches, motivational speaking, corporate presentations or even TV appearances.

Q: MUST I BRING ANYTHING WITH ME ON THE DAY?

A: Please bring a pen and paper to take notes. If you are on a Bootcamp or Masterclass and already have an earpiece please bring this with you too, if not and for everyone one else please don’t worry as we’ll have some on hand should the intinerary require them. A bottle of water is also useful, however aside from our One day Taster workshops we provide lunch and refreshments.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A: First of all, please dress comfortably! Wear clothing you can move about in without restriction. You may also dress in a way which compliments your desired on-screen image. If in doubt, perhaps wear your favourite outfit. Whatever you choose to wear ensure you feel comfortable and at ease. Please do NOT wear all white, all black, or stripes and checked patterns as these can have an adverse effect through the lens. Also please do not wear green as it will clash should we do any green-screen (“chromakey”) training.

Q: IS LUNCH INCLUDED?

A: We believe it is important to keep you fed and watered during your training. It’s brain food and helps with concentration. Therefore aside from our One Day Taster workshops we offer a balanced lunch and refreshments throughout the day on all of our training courses.

Q: I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS, CAN YOU STILL CATER FOR ME?

A: Nobody is left out at The Red Carpet Academy! If you have a special dietary requirement or particularly an allergy, please ensure to let us know upon booking or at least 3 working days before your training commences.

Q: CAN I TAKE AWAY THE FOOTAGE OF MY RECORDINGS ON THE SAME DAY?

A: We understand how exciting it is to record something and hope to see it right away, hence why we try our best to make this available to you as soon as possible. We will email it to you or send via post on DVD within 7 days.

Q: WHICH TRAINING COURSE WOULD BE BEST SUITED FOR ME?

A: We have a range of training available. Should you wish to pursue TV Presenting the way to begin is by attending our One Day Taster workshop, then you may progress on to Bootcamp and further. Should you wish to learn Public Speaking skills then we recommend “The Art of Public Speaking” training Please have a look around the website which details in-depth the training available. Q: DO YOU OFFER ANY ADDITIONAL SERVICES ASIDE FROM TRAINING?

Q: MUST I TRAIN WITH THE RED CARPET ACADEMY IN ORDER TO BOOK ANY OF YOUR ADDITIONAL SERVICES?

A: No, however if you choose to book one of our training workshops, you will receive discounts when you book any of our additional services at the same time.

Q: WHAT IS A HEAD SHOT?

A: Please refer here for further information of what a head shot is and the importance of having one.

Q: HOW I BOOK A PHOTO-SHOOT?

A: Simply email hello@becomeatvpresenter.com and let us know a date you have in mind and will check availability and confirm your photo-shoot.

Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR MY PHOTO-SHOOT?

A: You can pay for your photo-shoot via Paypal. Once you have booked, we will send a request asking you to make a payment via Paypal which accept debits and credit card options in a safe and secure way.

Q: WHAT DOES THE HEAD-SHOT PACKAGE INCLUDE?

A: Head shot packages include 10 images with 3 edited versions of your choice. Additional image editing / airbrushing costs £15 per image.

Q: I DON’T JUST WANT HEAD SHOTS AND HAVE MY OWN IDEAS. DO YOU ALSO OFFER FULL CREATIVE PHOTO-SHOOTS?

A: Yes we do! In fact these are our favourite type of shoots as we can get creative. One of our team will discuss your requirements and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Q: HOW MUCH IS A PHOTO-SHOOT?

A: Photo-shoots start from just £150. For a small additional cost you can also add hair and make-up to ensure you look groomed and camera ready. You will also get a 10% discount when booking at the same time a Two day Bootcamp and a 25% discount when booking alongside one of our Two day Masterclasses.

Q: WHERE WILL MY PHOTO-SHOOT TAKE PLACE?

A: Your photo-shoot will take place in a studio or location in London. After discussing your requirements our photography team make suggestions to ensure you get the best look to suit your genre and expertise.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY PHOTO-SHOOT?

A: Bring some of your favourite outfits. If you have booked a simple head shot photo-shoot then bring along a few various tops, blouses, t-shirts or shirts. Depending on the look you are going for. On the day our photographer will advise which he feels will suit you best camera.

Q: HOW DO I BOOK MY PHOTO-SHOOT?

Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR MY PHOTO-SHOOT OR SHOWREEL EDITING?

A: Please contact us first to tell us which date you wish and if available we will send you a payment request via Paypal which accepts payments with debit or credit card options in a safe and secure way.

Q: HOW DO I CANCEL?

A: Should you wish to cancel your photo-shoot please email us immediately and we will proceed with the cancellation process. Please refer to our cancellation policy terms below. Please note, showreel editing cannot be refunded once the work has started. This is usually within 24 hours. Should you change your mind within 24 hours we will agree the cancellation fee with you.
